| CG Engineering provided structural engineering for the upgrade of the mechanical systems that serve Juanita High School. The project included supporting and attaching fifteen replacement HVAC units on the roof of the school building. The existing curb systems were determined to be in generally good condition and were reused with minor seismic upgrades to improve the connection to the roof system. Since access to the units was difficult by crane, feasibility analysis was performed to determine if the existing units could be moved across the roof for crane removal. Construction services were provided to offer field solutions for other hidden deficiencies such as previous fire damage and dry rot.
