| CG Engineering provided the civil design for the development of a 3.1 acre site located in the City of Woodinville. The project added four buildings, along with associated driveways and parking areas to the site. CG Engineering worked closely with the architect, surveyor, wetland ecologist, and geotechnical engineer in the design of the site. Coordination was necessary to preserve the wetland on the northern portion of the property and simultaneously get maximum value out of the project. Temporary Erosion Control plans and details were designed to assist the contractor in construction and to prevent stormwater pollution. Grading was planned in a manner that effectively utilized the land to minimize cut and fill quantities. Storm drainage was routed to two underground detention vaults. Sewer and water were brought in from existing mains within the right-of-way. CG Engineering created street improvement plans and profiles detailing the changes, which included new sidewalks, storm drainage facilities, curbs and gutters. A Traffic Control Plan was also designed to show traffic control measures used during construction. This project involved permitting and environmental mitigation for a Type 3 stream which flows through the property. CG contracted with a wetland biologist to assist in a stream restoration and enhancement plan to mitigate adverse impacts as a result of construction.
