| Café Renovation CG Engineering provided a structural assessment of this pre-cast concrete building exhibiting signs of deterioration in the concrete. Exterior columns have spalling concrete up to ¼” deep for their full height on faces exposed to the weather. Reportedly, rusty water was coming through the roof slab during rain events. There was some concern that the roof slab was compromised and could extend inside the building. There were some signs of settlement of some of the exterior columns. CG Engineering developed recommendations for repair and estimates of the quantity of repair work necessary. Structural design of repairs to the existing concrete columns and roof that were exhibiting signs of deterioration was provided. Gym Renovation CG Engineering provided a structural assessment of this cast-in-place concrete building exhibiting significant spalling in the exterior concrete walls. It appeared that most of the spalling had been caused by corrosion of the wall reinforcing. Recommendations were developed for repair and estimates of the quantity of repair work necessary. Structural design of repair work for the building was provided. Drawings and budget estimates for the repair were also created. |
