This projects contains approximately 138,000 square feet of senior living space and is located in Henderson, Nevada. The development includes a three-story building, five identical two-story buildings and a detached social room. The main building foundation steps down across the sloping site. Each step is a full story and a concrete retaining wall was required at each step.
The two story buildings are approximately 9,100 square feet. The social room is 5,000 square feet and has a pyramid shaped roof with a large cupola at the top. The ceiling is sloped up to the cupola and then opens to the top of the cupola. Steel trusses were designed along two edges of the cupola spanning between outside walls to form headers for the opening.
